Hahn Lecture 2026 @DEPS – Prof. James A. Robinson (U Chicago, Nobel Laureate)

The Department of Economics and Statistics is proud to announce that
Professor James A. Robinson
<https://harris.uchicago.edu/directory/james-robinson> (University of
Chicago), recipient of the 2024 *Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences* for his
research on the formation of institutions and their impact on prosperity,
will deliver the traditional Hahn Lecture at DEPS on *May 26, 2026, at
11:00*.

Professor Robinson’s lecture, titled “*Why I Am Not a Monetarist*”, will
take place in Aula Franco Romani, located on the ground floor of Presidio
San Francesco, Piazza San Francesco 7.

The Hahn Lecture will follow the plenary talk that Professor Robinson will
