Dear Colleagues,

The Department of Economics and Statistics <https://www.deps.unisi.it/en> at
the University of Siena <https://en.unisi.it/> invites applications
for its *Distinguished
Visiting Scholar Program*. The program hosts leading economists for
short-term visits (1–3 weeks).

Scholars working in any field of economics and statistics are especially
encouraged to apply. *The program covers travel and accommodation costs*,
and scholars are expected to give one academic seminar and a public lecture.

Interested applicants should contact a faculty member from the Department (see
list here <https://www.deps.unisi.it/en/department/staff/faculty>) with a
brief description of their research, preferred dates, and intended stay
duration.

We particularly encourage applications from scholars with no prior
collaboration with the Department, and from underrepresented groups and the
Global South.

More details on the Distinguished Visiting Scholar Program are provided in
the Call for Application attached below.

Please share this opportunity within your networks.

Best regards,
