*About the Conference*
Security problems have become more interconnected today, affecting many
settings on individual, state, and regional levels. A comprehensive
approach to security issues can help consideration of security issues from
various perspectives. The Central Asian countries have been challenged by
several security problems that can be best examined and discussed with the
application of a comprehensive security approach. Looking into security
problems this way can contribute to sustainable development of Central Asia
and the separate countries within it. In light of the diversity of
challenges present in the region and the integration of a comprehensive
security approach, this conference will shed light on issues as diverse as
gender, youth, and climate change. Also, it includes reflections on the
role and cooperation of international organizations with a focus on the
OSCE and EU in Central Asia as well as on current geopolitical development
in the region.
